In this episode of Backroads Stories we travel to the community of Climax where a group of dedicated volunteers are warming the hearts of cancer patients across the province. This quaint community in Southwest Saskatchewan is the provincial branch for Victoria Quilts Canada. A national non-profit organization that makes and delivers quilts to cancer patients free of charge.
Despite the perception that rural communities are dwindling, the can-do attitude is alive and flourishing. People who live here do so by choice, they are compassionate people who are always willing to lend a helping hand.
