This documentary retraces the footsteps the Northwest Mounted Police took during their famous patrol from Wood Mountain to Fort Walsh. As a committed group of individuals travel the over 350 km on foot across a trail spanning the scenic landscape of Southwest Saskatchewan.
The patrol trail holds an iconic place in Canadian history as it helped provide stability during those fragile first years of the west opening up. Historical figures including Sitting Bull and James Walsh were among the many that traveled the trail.
